LOCATION
The Preserve is located in the Northwest of Argentina, in the province of Jujuy and within
the Yungas Biosphere Reserve. In the town of Tilquiza, just 20 km from San Salvador de Jujuy (1 hour and 20 minutes by car), with an altitude of between 1400 and 1820 meters above sea level.
Despite not being far from the capital of our province, Aldea Luna is a virgin and hidden place, without any type of contamination or influence from the modern world.
There is no wifi or cell phone reception!
(to use your cell phone, you must walk 1 hour through the hills and you will find a place with reception)

ARE WE LOOKING FOR YOU?
With our 4×4 truck:
We offer transfers from San Salvador de Jujuy (city center, bus station and airport), Salta and other cities and towns in the region. In this case we arrive directly to the Nature Preserve and we do not have to walk the 3km of access, except in case of rain, since the road becomes impassable and we have to walk the last 3km anyway!

In your own vehicle, along Provincial Route 35:
The Preserve can only be reached with 4 × 4 vehicles. If you come in a vehicle that does not have this mode, you can leave it in a safe place 3km away and from there wait for transfer. In case of rain, the last 3km are always done walking, since the road is impassable even for 4 × 4 vehicles !!
Either way, you should always make a reservation before coming, since we do not receive people without prior communication!
FROM THE BUS TERMINAL
You have to take the “Panamericano” Company bus that leaves the San Salvador de Jujuy bus station, between platforms 7 and 15 every day, with destination Ocloyas, at 7 am (be there 6:40 a.m., you pay the ticket on the bus, you don’t have to buy it before). Get off in Tilquiza (it is a 1 1⁄2 hours bus ride) and we will be waiting for you there, ready to walk the 3km of access to the Natural Preserve!
It is very important that you call us the day before (regardless of having made the reservation), so that we can pick you up in Tilquiza, since the road to Aldea Luna is not signposted!
